Government Teachers Training College, Deoghar is one of the four institutions
run and managed by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Jharkhand Government.
The college has been imparting 1 (one) year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree
program recognized by
N.C.T.E.
(National Council Of Teacher Education).
Government Teachers Training College, Deoghar was established in the year 1962,
by then Govt. of Bihar vide letter no. 111/T4-033/62E2465, dated 24th. August

Further to its establishment in the year 1962, Government Teachers Training
College, Deoghar obtained affiliation with Sido Kanhu Murmu University
(S.K.M.U), Dumka (Jharkhand) in the year 2001 (click here
to view), in the year 2002 B.Ed. courses conducted by Government Teachers
Training College, Deoghar were granted recognisition by the National Council of
Teacher Education, vide order no. ERC-7-25/2002/1843(4).
Government Teachers Training College, Deoghar is privilaged to have some of the
most emminent educationist and administrators, heading the institution as
